Acushnet Housing Authority (AHA):
The AHA board is comprised of five members. Four members are elected at-large by the town, and one member is appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Each serves for a five-year term and may be re-elected or re-appointed.
Functions of The Board:
The Board acts as an administrative and policy-making body overseeing the Acushnet Housing Authority. It meets on a regular monthly basis at the Presidential Terrace, Nate Gomes Community Center office, 23 Main Street. The Board can occasionally hold special meetings and at a different location as necessary.
The daily routine operations are attended to by the Executive Director and her staff.
